While we are new to Australia, we have a heritage from our origins in Israel, serving clients globally. We are establishing ourselves in Victoria as a base with support from the Victorian government and their business innovation commitment. Ideally, the successful candidate will be based in Melbourne, Victoria.
We are independent global AI specialists supporting clients through CoEs and in rapid application development of end-to-end AI-based solutions. Furthermore, DSG provides AI governance, auditing, monitoring, and performance management solutions in research and production environments.
As a Data Science and Analytics Consultant, you will work with clients to design their AI processes and governance procedures, develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges, provide strategic guidance on leveraging data to drive business outcomes, and design and implement data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. As part of a growing start-up, you will have the opportunity to have a strong voice and the ability to be part of shaping things up from the get-go.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their business challenges and objectives and design data-driven solutions to address them.
- Provide clients with strategic guidance and thought leadership on varied data science and analytics topics, including leveraging data to drive growth and competitive advantage while reducing operational risk through disciplined AI processes and governance procedures.
- Lead end-to-end data science and analytics projects, including problem definition, data preparation modelling, and deployment.
- Build predictive models, conduct statistical analysis, and design experiments to derive insights and inform business decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques and tools and proactively identify opportunities to apply them to client projects.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of data-driven solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field- a must.
- At least five years of experience in data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning- a must.
- Deep understanding of corporate AI processes and governance procedures-an advantage.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other data analysis languages- an advantage.
- Experience with databases and SQL or other data storage technologies- a must.
- Proven ability to lead data science projects and deliver successful outcomes for clients.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
