Our client is looking for a Senior Data Architect, with strong technical background as well as leadership qualities, to fill in as the leader of the data platform. Provide centralized data services for Digital solutions teams – data scientists, business users with NoSQL and Big Data platforms, hybrid cloud, and BI tools.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The client is looking for a senior data architect, with strong technical background as well as leadership qualities, to fill in as the leader of the data platform.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a centralized data platform with the latest big data and advanced analytics technology deployed globally on-premise and on major public clouds.
  • Oversee a pool of 50+ contingent data professionals developing and supporting 20+ projects and products on the platform.
  • Define and maintain operational standards on the platform.
  • Improve the way data assets are managed and work with businesses to find new ways to monetize data.
  • Provide centralized data services for Digital solutions teams – data scientists, and business users with NoSQL and Big Data platforms, hybrid cloud, and BI tools.
  • This position will cover multiple data-driven projects encompassing data requirements gathering, discovery, pipeline design, data modeling, DDL release, and query tuning.
  • Must be able to work independently, acting as the lead expert in data, and work with business analysts, project managers, architects, app developers, and data engineers to deliver the results on time and with quality.

Requirements

  • GC Holder or US Citizen,
  • Direct hire (W2 role),
  • 10+ years of experience working with Data,
  • 7+ years as a Data Architect,
  • Ability to lead projects on a platform level,
  • Experience in Architectural Concepts at the Enterprise Level,
  • Experience with relational, NoSQL, and Big Data concepts, environments, and common products
  • Solid background in SQL and SQL-like query languages, as well as various types of schema.
  • (Relational, JSON, AVRO, etc.),
  • Data Modeling tools, such as Erwin, and conversion between various types of schema,
  • Expertise in Big Data (knowledge and background) is required, including the Hadoop platform (HDFS, Hive, etc.),
  • Query engines, such as Presto,
  • Ability to deliver data solutions in the cloud (AWS / Azure),
