Junior Data Scientist

The contractor shall work closely with teammates and clients to understand client questions and needs, and client data environments. The contractor shall develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions, and provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used. The contractor shall apply established or developing programmatic and quantitative methods to find patterns and relationships in large datasets from cyber toolsets, as well as conduct mathematical, statistical, or other data-driven problem-solving analysis to inform leadership decisions. The contractor shall also provide accurate, timely, complex data analysis in support of client policy decisions, as well as develop and refine dashboards and custom analytics from toolsets such as Splunk and Tanium.

The onsite portion of work for this position can be located at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC, College Park in MD, or Reston in VA.

Requirements

  • Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
  • Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
  • Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses and visualization of targeted data sources
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
  • Knowledge of text mining or machine learning techniques
  • TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a counter-intelligence polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 Certification IAT-II, including: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP
