AWS is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join the growing, fast-paced EMEA Sales Strategy, Operations & Enablement team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the exciting space of the Amazon Web Services.
You will be responsible for the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets. You will have a department-wide view of the analytical solutions that you build, and you will consistently think in terms of automating or expanding the results company-wide. You should be a self-starter who knows and loves working with BI tools, and who thrives on implementing creative approaches and dealing with the intricate complexity of large data sets, while partnering with internal customers to answer key business questions. You are analytical and creative, and you don’t quit. You seek to understand the business objectives relevant to your area and align your work to those objectives and seek to deliver business value.
We are looking for an individual that recognises and adopts best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, analysis, and validation. You write high quality code to retrieve and analyse data as well as solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. Developing pragmatic analyses and choosing applicable solutions that add value to your business area, you understand data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Identifying internal customer requirements and business problems, and developing appropriate solutions with measurable impact on scale and productivity
· Collaborate with business analysts, sales operations, finance, and sales teams to deliver scalable consumption of analytics insights and statistics
· Consolidating data from various sources and automation of reporting processes
· Developing solutions to collect and consolidate new data points
· Proactively identifying and reining-in solutions that have been developed in silo
· Being responsible for projects throughout their lifespan - from conception, to requirements gathering, to launch and beyond
