AWS is looking for an experienced and motivated technologist to lead a Specialist Solution Architecture (SSA) team with a passion for creating strategies, best practices and solving complex business challenges focusing on AWS Machine Learning (ML) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) services. At AWS, we are building a team of global technical leaders passionate about growing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging with technologists, executives and influencers at all levels across the industry. We’re looking for a deep ML technology leader with the business background and communication skills needed to help customers adopt cloud technology to address their biggest challenges and opportunities.

In this role, you will lead a team of Machine Learning SSAs, who are the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers and AWS technical teams around the world design solutions that leverage our ML stack, and will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a deep understanding of ML services, use cases, architectures, workflow and ecosystem. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a Solutions Architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

In this role, you will:
· Own the technology elements of the global go-to-market field strategy for AWS ML & AI services across EMEA.
· Lead a team of experts across your area that help customers architect and integrate the ML & AI services most relevant to their business
· Use knowledge gained to help shape the future AWS ML portfolio and ecosystem across EMEA.
· Lead a ML-focused community of AWS technical experts

What you’ll need to bring to this role:
· Technical background to drive an engagement and interact at the highest levels within our customer and partner teams across EMEA.
· The presence and wherewithal to easily communicate the benefits of cloud computing and ML services for a variety of use cases and application architectures
· Ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of businesses, IT and developers
· Expertise in ML technologies, architectures and industry that makes you stand out from your peers

Key Responsibilities:
· Together with the broader Business Development and Solutions Architecture teams across EMEA, you will develop the ML strategy for AWS in the field (focusing on technical strategy elements)
· Engage with Account Teams, Professional Services, SAs and Partners across EMEA to define an engagement strategy across geographies for key customers
· Establish technical credibility in sales cycles (personally and through the broader technical team) with customer and partner CTOs, CIOs, Architects, Senior Developers, etc.

This role is based in DACH region.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have 7-10 years of experience in senior technical leader positions
• 10+ years of Customer-facing experience in a field leadership role
• Practical experience architecting, developing and operating Enterprise software or IT processes using a variety of ML technologies
• Technical knowledge of Enterprise IT is required, including: significant hands on implementation or consulting experience and demonstrate a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, databases, , data center operations, network security, etc., with ability to go deep on technical aspects to understand current and future customer needs and present AWS technical benefits
• Experience supporting partners and programs.
• 5+ years’ experience in the field of AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and related technologies.
• 10+ years design/implementation/consulting experience building cloud solutions using AWS.
• Experience influencing and building mindshare convincingly with any audience. Confident and experienced in public speaking to large audiences.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing and/or related fields (IT, software, etc)
• Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations (customers, SIs and ISVs)
• Technical degree highly desired; or equivalent background
• Experience developing production applications using ML services, or similar on-prem and cloud-based technologies
• Experience working with business development, enterprise account management, strategic partnerships, software development and/or program/product teams
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning software platforms.
