About this role

The eDiscovery Data Analyst will be the resident expert on best practices for collection, preservation, and processing of data across the enterprise in support of the litigation and investigations teams. The eDiscovery Data Analyst’s role will also provide technical, data analysis and implementation of system upgrades /enhancements support for our eDiscovery applications. This role will be under Biogen’s IT organization, reporting to the Director of IT, Legal & Compliance and Corporate Interactions.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for executing eDiscovery requests, including data collection, processing, setting up review and productions.
  • Work with team in process improvement initiatives as well as in planning and execution of technology upgrades.
  • Provide IT Litigation specific application support and coordinate with vendors to address any type of issues.
  • Provide project status and request updates to business users and other stakeholders.
  • Supports current and new users with application trainings

You are customer focus with canning problem-solving skills that enables you to independently troubleshoot, offer solutions and define practical action plans to meet your stakeholders needs

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of eDiscovery collection and processing tools such as OpenText Axcelerate
  • Strong working knowledge of searching terminology and logic utilizing different search engines
  • Strong working knowledge of load file conversion and manipulation
  • High level understanding of data forensic tools such as Encase
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, Windows applications, and common PC hardware.
  • Understanding of general network architectures, and common server hardware.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the electronic discovery field either from working in a law firm or an eDiscovery service provider.
  • High level understanding of the litigation process is a plus
