Senior Data Scientist, Managed Services Auckland (New Zealand) 12 Months Fixed term Contract Team Summary Managed Services is part of Visa’s consultancy division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. In Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, Managed Services lead the efforts to help our clients deliver, execute and implement strategic projects. Our team champions a solution-first mindset and Human Centric Design methodologies to design and deploy leading class customer engagement and portfolio optimisation solutions for our clients. We deliver on objectives from a shared value agenda, effectively becoming the trusted delivery team for our clients and partners. Managed Services is a fast-growing area of the Visa business where our people are the product – and the priority. What a Senior Data Scientist does at Visa: Please note that whilst there maybe scope for a long-term appointment, this role is a 12-month fixed term contract initially. Ideally based in Auckland but with hybrid work options, the Senior Data Scientist will lead Delivery of Data Science projects transforming business requirements into analytics problems to be answered. You will work closely with the Data Delivery Lead and Client Portfolio/Data lead to develop, implement and maintain models in areas such as predictive modelling, churn modelling, customer segmentation, time series and natural language. In this role you will also: Lead Delivery of Data Science projects transforming business requirements into analytics problems to be answered Develop, implement, and maintain models in areas such as predictive modelling, churn modelling, customer segmentation, time series and natural language Mentor members of the Data Science team and in the wide Analytics community on Data Science techniques Influence and contribute to Data Science assessment and planning, maintaining, and ensuring alignment with the strategic direction for our analytics services, tools and platforms Champion Data Science and the use of new tools and techniques to solve business problems Work collaboratively with the wider analytics team and platform to provide collective insight and value for stakeholders Work to technical standards, tooling, policies, and guardrails for Data Chapter. This role will help to build the Visa Managed Services business in market, a scaling space that is in high demand from our clients. Projects you will be a part of: This role will play a critical role in helping to deliver Visa Managed Services, a new business line which is in high demand from our clients. Once established in our initial clients, this role will support the scaling of these services across Australia and New Zealand, and through other markets in AP. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Qualifications
