Accountability

The Data & Analytics Specialist within Retail Space Planning & Analytics will be the key enabler to explore and develop new robust methods in order to get new and more accurate insights on consumer demand and space in stores. In addition to this, this person will interact and influence the analytical community within H&M to explore and enable new data areas to realize even more business potential.

Job Description

  • Perform analysis on large sets of data to extract impactful insights that will inform and guide Retail Space planning & analytics and Store Experience & Commercial to drive strategic decisions across the H&M functions and H&R leap related to Store portfolio profiling, assortment visibility and assortment activation
  • Work with multiple advanced analytics tools to analyze, execute and follow-up initiatives from idea to “productification” (from A to Z)
  • Funnel insights to the Retail Space planning & analytics team and H&R leap to scale up on data-driven insights enabled by statistical and mathematical methods
  • Central cross-functional stakeholder interacting and influencing the Data Analyst and Science community within CX&S and AI Foundation team to develop and enable data set to realize more business potential
  • Working close with Data Scientist, Data Analysts, Business Analysts to continuously feed in new insights into Retail Space Planning & Analytics to enabling support to the regions with robust and accurate methods and tools  

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years experience in data analysis, data science, or machine learning engineering 
  • Data analyst/scientist experience from a cross-functional setting in an explorative environment

Skills and mindset

  • Possess the technical competence to perform advanced analytics, including data modelling and coding skills (R, Python and SQL required, additional languages meriting) and analytics tools experience
  • Capability of tackling very loosely defined problems and working autonomously
  • Have a business and customer-oriented mindset with the motivation to constantly improve, achieve targets and drive agenda forward
  • Like taking responsibility and enjoy working in a changing environment
  • Are curious, prestige-less and always strive to find the best way forward
  • Strong communicative skills and fluent/skilled in English, both written and spoken
