Job Description

Lastminute.com is looking for a Data Engineer for its Payments, Analysis and Reporting team. He/she will construct, develop, optimise and maintain complex data structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Ingestion from fraud/payment providers
• ETL & Reporting tool usage for Analysis and Report creation
• Internal support on reporting and result's analysis
• Support on key KPI's creation and elaboration through data extraction
• Management, as unique Payment Operation interface, of the relation with DWH & BI & Product Developer

Qualifications

Essential

• Very good SQL
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• Programming skills (Python, VBA or similar)

Desirable 

• Vertica (big data)
• Tibco Spotfire (reporting)
• Talend (ETL)
• Linux
• Html

Additional Information

Qualities 

• Degree level qualification in University education in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related subject
• Great deductive, organizational and learning skills.
• Dynamism, proactiveness and curiosity.
• Conceptual as well as structured thinking and working in a dynamic and complex environment
• High analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Very good team and communication skills
• Fluency in English is essential - a good level of Italian would also be desirable, though not essential
