A bit about the role & team:
We are looking to hire 2 students - 1 focused on Java project and the other one focused on Node and TypeScript project.
Data Analytics is one of the Caseware Cloud Business Lines. We are paving the way to the future of data-driven cloud engagements. This team enables data extraction from various sources providing simplified reporting, tailored analytics, and risk management. The team comprises around 50 talented individuals, working in Development, Design, and Product, and we’re looking for someone to join one of the following two squads:1. Data Imports: Responsible for ingestion and pre-processing of accounting data from flat files and various online data sources into Caseware CloudTech Stack: Angular, Java (SpringBoot), AWS2. Data Bindings: Responsible for developing SDK to extract data from various data sources and supporting our customers in creating integrations with data providers using the SDKTech Stack: Node, TypeScript, Angular,  AWSAWS Services used: DynamoDB, EMR, Glue, Lambdas, RDS, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, S3

What you will be doing:

• You will be a full member of an Agile team responsible for designing and building new features, fixing bugs, and creating automated unit and integration tests as part of a deployment pipeline.
• Create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions.
• You will work with various relational and non-relational data stores to analyze financial data.
• You will gain exposure to modern software development techniques including automated unit testing, code reviews, 3-tiered architecture, Microservices, SDK design, and Agile scrum.
• Deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the health of the microservices.
• You will interact with other developers, product owners, UX specialists, and data scientists.

What you will bring [Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required]:

• Solid understanding of Angular, Java, TypeScript, or Node.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented (OOP) Concepts.
• Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience with relational databases

What you will bring [Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities]:

• Shareable code repository demonstrating best practices of software development including commit history, branch strategies, and testing.
• Strong programming aptitude, as demonstrated by high achievement in Computer Science courses.

Education:

• Working towards a B.Sc./B.Eng. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
