About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Data Analyst to join our People Data Team. You will work alongside other analysts in the People Systems team and other Data professionals in the Data team as a bridge between the technology and people teams. This role requires hands-on activities and is fully embedded in delivering technical solutions.  

In particular, you will have the opportunity to explore and address critical questions, such as:

  • How do we ensure we get the right people, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time with the right motivation?
  • Can we enhance customer experience, interventions, retention and growth by reducing labour turnover and improving employee engagement, diversity, inclusion and well-being?
  • How do we anticipate our headcounts in 18 months? What skills will they need to have to meet our business objectives?

It is important to note that this role will operate in close partnership with our Data Privacy Officer.

What you’ll do

  • Engage with business and product teams to develop and deliver data analytics projects, actionable insight and recommendations
  • Translate complex information into requirements and business processes and work with stakeholders to prioritise projects and ask the right questions
  • Create visualisations (we use Looker/Data Studio) and manage strategic dashboards/KPI reporting
  • Work with Data Engineers to develop/adjust data models as required 
  • Teach, mentor and support more junior data analysts 
  • Drive the adoption of optimisation and experimentation in your core analytics area

Qualifications

About you

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and the data visualisation tool Looker. Experience with Python is desired.
  • Experience with BiqQuery / Google Cloud Platform / Data studio / Terraform. 
  • Previous experience in business insights and data analytics (exploratory and descriptive analysis) 
  • Experience in data storytelling
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage the time to produce high-quality work with deadlines
  • Familiarity with SaaS would be ideal (Mixpanel/Google Analytics, CDP, MVT platforms etc.)
  • Ability to work within a diverse team spanning business leaders, product managers, software engineers and data scientists.
  • Experience in customer support analytics or CX analytics is advantageous
