Machine Learning Engineer

The Role

CodeSignal is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who will produce, design, and develop standardized Machine Learning and data-related frameworks that help candidates show their skills in a fair interview process and help our clients go beyond the noise in technical recruiting!

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining these standardized frameworks, filling them with content relevant to the candidate’s role, and providing a fair and consistent experience so teams can conduct unbiased and predictive evaluations. Every standard framework is backed by extensive research, where you can also contribute with your expertise. Additionally, you will have a chance to solve engineering and Machine Learning challenges in the framework development pipeline (e.g., fighting against cheating, evaluating code quality scores, and similar challenges that arise on the way).

This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with practical Software and Machine Learning engineering experience and who are able to drive best practices. We expect the Machine Learning Engineer to lead this direction, so if you are interested in leadership and/or management - that’d be a plus.

Day-to-Day

• Design and develop of ML framework
• Design and develop assessments prone to the evaluation of ML knowledge
• Lead design discussions where you are able to lend your technical expertise in ML Engineering
• Brainstorm ideas to address various open-ended questions that the Assessment Platform (and the company as a whole) is tackling
• Build, oversee, and improve workflows to validate the correctness of interview content, import it to the CodeSignal platform, and ensure display fidelity
• Develop tools to maintain the high quality and fairness of our assessment frameworks, share insights discovered with the help of these tools with relevant teams within the company

Qualifications 

• Python proficiency
• SQL proficiency
• Data manipulation knowledge: Pandas, NumPy
• Model training: scikit-learn
• OOP
• Advanced Implementation
• Code design
• Shipping model to the prod: Docker/Airflow/AWS (or another cloud system)
