Job Description

Working with the Accounting and Finance Team, the Senior Data Analyst will:

  • Collect customer requirements, determine technical issues, and design reports to meet data analysis needs.
  • Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and create ad hoc reports.
  • May also be required to provide database maintenance and development.
  • Gather, extract, manipulate, analyze and model data using analytical and statistical tools.
  • Design, develop, and test methods for data capture, conversion, and scrubbing.
  • Troubleshoot data problems and needs with cross-functional teams, generate reports, and provide recommendations.
  • Compare captured data to real results and identify areas to improve data.
  • Profile, analyze, and identify quality and conversion requirements for organization-wide data
  • Define and improve upon master data creation and maintenance processes.
  • Record a full audit history of data changes.
  • Provide support for internal and external data queries and propose solutions for master data related business challenges.
  • Ensure and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the master data and verify data is in compliance with all relevant regulations.  

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in Data Analysis (inclusive of internships)
  • Experience using Power BI and SQL
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
  • Skilled in Ad Hoc Reporting and Data Queries

Desired:

  • 5+ years of experience In Data Analysis (Inclusive of Internships)
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience with: “R”, Python, SPSS, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Visual Studio Code
  • Experience with Statistical Forecasting and Financial Planning/Forecasting
  • Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
  • API implementation
  • Predictive Modeling
  • Data mining
  • Web scraping

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. 

Cognitive Demands:

The Senior Data Analyst must be able to prioritize, multi-task various projects at once, and work well under pressure and tight deadlines. They must display high moral ethics and display the capacity to lead through strategic thinking and problem solving/analysis.

Additionally, they must demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills (oral and written).
