Role Overview:
The Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the SaaS product software at Medalogix. This position will help build of our next generation, cloud-native product platform. This person will join the current engineering group bringing database technology and development skills that further elevate our team. A great candidate will bring passion and discipline for building software products focused on the customer. A successful candidate will bring significant value and have meaningful impact to our success. The release of the new platform & products will generate material incremental revenue for the company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create a data pipeline using Python, Scala, DBT and deploy on Azure Data Factory
- Develop DDLs for Tables, Views, Stored Procedures for data access and data transformation
- Learn and support our current data warehouse in snowflake
- Work on the data quality and audit balance and control framework
- Learn and evolve our current data ingestion & integration architecture using foundational technologies like PowerShell, SQL Server, Python, and others
- Improving the platform capabilities for operations including scaling, fault tolerance, monitoring, alerting
- Participates as a member of the engineering team leveraging Scrum methodology for platform enhancements which includes development, quality assurance, release execution, and support
- Provide design and code peer reviews for solutions developed by other delivery team members.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Ability to create data pipelines using container orchestration with ADF, DBT or other ETL tools
- Ability to work with column databases like snowflake, redshift for data warehousing. Familiarity with three tier data design.
- Experience with Azure Cloud and Microsoft SQL Server
- Some previous experience in SQL query performance improvement
- Software development processes, agile methodologies, and related tools
- Willingness to work in a peer environment and swarm on technical activities
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
