We are looking for two Data Analysts to join one of our best-in-class Big Data projects related to building an ETL system using mainly Hadoop on-premises and additionally GCP cloud. Our clients' Big Data Lake is the largest aggregation of data ever within financial services with over 300 sources and a rapidly growing book of work.

THINGS YOU WILL DO

• Define and obtain source data required to successfully deliver insights and use cases.
• Create methods to highlight and report data inconsistencies, allowing users to review and provide feedback.
• Propose suitable data migration sets to the relevant stakeholders.
• Determine the data mapping required to join multiple data sets together across multiple sources.
• Technically able to validate, analyze, data model and write the clear use stories to Data Engineers.
• Define the Data Asset Generation Design with Best Practices in various Data Work flow.
• Continuously able to support Data engineers throughout the complete SDLC.
• Able to support the SIT, UAT and Production Support.
• Assist with the planning, tracking and coordination of the data migration team and with the migration run-book and the scope for each cutover.
• Understand the Data Definition Tagging processes like Logical to Physical Mapping, Data Processing Flow to measure the consistency etc.,
• Co-ordinate with CDO (Chief Data Office) for Trusted Source validation and data modelling.
• Able to understand the Data Governance Processes to monitor and deliver the data solutions with compliance in place.

TECH STACK: SQL, Excel, Python, Spark, HiveSQL

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Business analysis skills, defining and understanding requirements.
• Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and visualization.
• Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to navigate databases particularly Hive. 
• Some experience in completing exploratory data analysis using Python, and a beginner understanding of Spark with knowledge of how to use PySpark and HiveSQL.
• Ability to handle and manipulate large time-series data sets, and ideally some experience with entity resolution across multiple data sources.
• Eagerness to learn new technical data analytics capabilities.
• Problem-solving mindset, an extraordinary attention to detail and good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience using data models and data dictionaries in a Banking and Financial Markets context.
• Knowledge of Trade Finance or Securities Services useful Preferable knowledge and experience in Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Data Governance.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning theoretical concepts and experience in scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of CI/CD data pipelining.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and formal Agile processes, a bias towards TDD and a willingness to test products as part of the delivery cycle SIT, UAT and Production Support.
