WHAT’S ON OFFER
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer the Technical Product Manager, will work closely with other members of the Product and Engineering teams, apply technical product knowledge and expertise to preemptively solve challenges and contribute to the product life cycle and delivery of our MAPTUAL Platform. The MAPTUAL Platform transforms complex data analysis into simple, actionable, and explainable recommendations. It combines AI and engineering capabilities, designed in scalable, microservice-driven architecture, built completely on AWS. MAPTUAL utilizes a range of capabilities, including standalone applications via RESTful APIs and the ability to integrate into industry leading platforms such as Veeva and Salesforce.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Contribute to the overall advancement of the platform, focusing efforts on:
  • Data ingestion and cleansing 
  • Data feature engineering
  • Scenario building
  • Predictive and look-alike modeling
  • Explainable insights and recommendations
  • Smart segmentation
  • Omni-channel attribution (market mix modeling)
  • Contribute to the MAPTUAL platform product life cycle and management of our agile product development process
  • Collaborate closely with the Sr. Technical Product Manager, other members of the Product teams and cross functionally with departments including Customer Success, Engineering, and Sales 
  • Continuously gather input to contribute to detailed product specifications and the evolution of our platform’s capabilities 
  • Discover, define and validate user problems
  • Leverage and implement technical solutions using rapid prototyping, fast iterations and rigorous testing
  • Work closely with the Data and Analytics and Full-Stack teams, driving conversations with ML / MLOps Engineers, MLOps, and Full-Stack Developers to explore and determine Data Science requirements to solve core user problems
  • Use judgment and experience to provide quantitative and qualitative input to guide decisions
  • Work closely with the Product team to contribute to achieving targets on the platform roadmap
  • Contribute to the overall product strategy at an ecosystem level through product offerings that achieve product network effect
  • Work directly with customers, users, and others to gain domain knowledge, feedback, and inspiration
  • Bring new initiatives, perspectives, and product management practice into the company
  • Instill a culture of “Product Sense” across the entire company

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience working in a similar position in a start-up and / or technology / SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, or similar related knowledge and experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical product manager, with experience working closely with engineering and data science teams
  • Detail oriented and analytical, able to spot issues as well as values hidden in a variety of data sources
  • Able to analyze large datasets and summarize key insights
  • Able to understand and summarize complex problems and create creative solutions
  • Highly empathetic towards to customers with a strong business acumen and a true believer in measurable outcomes
  • Experience contributing to the creation and tracking of OKRs, analytics and reporting
  • Excellent organization and project management skills and experience managing large, complex projects
  • Data query skills, statistical knowledge and an insatiable curiosity for data science, including AI is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Passion, drive, curiosity and the desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Able to communicate openly and work collaboratively across teams in a fast growing start-up environment
  • Able to understand and consider the “big picture” while completing related tasks and objectives 
  • A process-driven mindset, with the ability to creatively problem solve and implement solutions

LOCATION
We are a remote-first company based in Toronto with frequent in-person collaborative work sessions and social gatherings at a work-share office in downtown Toronto. We leverage many synchronous and asynchronous communication tools as well as virtual social events, and provide an allowance for your ideal WFH setup.
