As part of NBCUniversal’s Direct-to-Consumer team, the Sr. Analyst, Data Governance will be responsible for ensuring a high level of consumer data protection and governance is maintained across OneApp’s and Fandango’s technical systems, while championing the integration of regulatory and legal requirements into the OneApp & Fandango products. This function requires acute attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, teamwork and understanding of complex privacy regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Work closely with Privacy Counsel and a wide range of internal stakeholders to help implement privacy and governance strategies to achieve the above goals
- Work with the Direct-to-Consumer Data Governance team on tactical day-to-day data management processes
- Assist in executing processes to ensure compliance with various laws and regulations, including VPPA, COPPA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and others
- Serve as a liaison with brand stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of evolving data privacy requirements, evaluating risks and providing recommendations / solutions from Data Governance leadership in a timely manner
- Manage the brands’ privacy portal and associated Individual Rights Requests
- Manage the brands’ consent management platform (CMP)
- Help to define roles and responsibilities related to consumer data governance and establish standard operating procedures for data stewardship
- Ensure privacy impact assessments and security assessments are completed for system and processes in scope, including vendor management
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
Qualifications
- 1+ years of working with privacy and security-related matters, privacy statutes, data trends and their related legal implications
- 1+ years of experience implementing Privacy and/or Data Governance best practices, policies & procedures, preferably with consumer data in a large organization
- 1+ years of project management experience
- BA/BS in business, technology, legal studies or relevant work experience
Desired Characteristics
- Experience working successfully with stakeholders and partner teams to translate business needs into governance structure
- Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with the possible solution(s), consult with Data Governance leadership, document the changes, and communicate to change to brand stakeholders
- Technical experience with data & analytics platforms
- Enthusiasm and aptitude for learning new skills and practices
- Ability to collaborate and work in partnership with different parts of the organization and a diverse set of stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage multiple tracks of work
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive your own projects
- Experience within a technology organization in the media or entertainment industry highly preferred
