Job Description

As a valued colleague on our Finance Transformation team, you will design, manage, and document data stores, data warehouses, and/or subject areas, as well as assess opportunities for improving or consolidating data stores, data warehouses, and their data elements.

We have one opening for this position and it may be worked on a Hybrid basis from our Washington, DC or Reston, VA offices.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Finance Transformation - Data Management - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Review data and perform development or maintenance work on data models to support enterprise projects with support from team and manager.
  • Evaluate data model discrepancies and provide solutions to data integration challenges.
  • Coordinate with business units and technical staff to understand data usage, lineage, and attributes.
  • Evaluate and support the alignment of data architecture workstreams with business objectives.
  • Analyze opportunities for new data models and the reuse of data models in new environments.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences

  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making using Excel.
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights to the business regarding the data. Can analyze data and identify trends and relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud computing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Can present information and ideas to audiences in an easy to understand and engaging way.
  • Skilled in MS Access, Power BI and JIRA.
     

Desired Experiences 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Process improvement mindset.
