About Us
At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. We are currently seeking a Data Analyst for our Business Intelligences Team in Downers Grove, IL.  As the Data Analyst, you will provide reporting, insights, decision support, and ad-hoc analyses that support Sales, Marketing, Production and Supply, and other functional areas

You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

  • Developing reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses for multiple functional areas of the business
  • Creating and developing data models that will be utilized in reports and dashboards
  • Synthesizing analyses and develop clear and concise communications and presentations to business partners


Accountabilities 

  • Develop, create, and implement standard reporting for routine and business reports
  • Monitor data accuracy, and integrity of data used in analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to build a robust and effective database
  • Improve standard processes to create efficiencies and a smoother experience for our business customers 
  • Deliver data related insights to the functional teams seeking to drive significant impact via data driven decisions 
  • Explore and conduct analysis on business improvement opportunities
  • Influence and evangelize analytical methodologies to support business partners’ needs
     

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Finance, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience with data analysis and preparation
  • Strong SQL knowledge and data manipulation skills
  • Experience with visualization software such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience working with multiple different data sources
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate your analysis and findings with a non-technical audience
  • Understanding of the agriculture industry
  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Finance, or related field
  • Working knowledge of Python/R
