Job Description

As the Lead Analyst for Retail you will take a leading role in helping retail leadership shape the future strategy for the business, identifying new opportunities for growth and bottom line improvements. At the same time, you will champion the use of advanced analytics methods within the team.

What you'll be doing...

  • By analysing and interrogating data on our product and customer you will deliver actionable insights to drive growth through incremental revenue and bottom line through margin improvements
  • Work with retail and demand planning to drive a view of opportunity within stock planning and management across our global warehouses and how this affects short and long term performance
  • Work with the Senior Manager and Retail senior leadership to develop and prioritise a roadmap of relevant, strategic insight
  • You will work with the other analysts in the Insight team as well as stakeholder to ensure the recommendations we deliver to the business are aligned and informed with commercial background
  • Work with the retail stakeholders and the Senior Insight Manager to drive an understanding of how data and insight can drive efficiency and add value across the business
  • Champion retail data and insight across the wider insight team, ensuring correct methods and metrics are used
  • Mentor junior members of the team to ensure their continual development
  • Support wider insight team with advanced analytics deliverables and/or training and oversight, as relevant
  • Work closely with the AI team to ensure knowledge and capability sharing, as relevant
  • Proactively seek to keep the business and team at the forefront of analytics approaches that could drive customer value

 

Qualifications

We'd love to meet someone with...

  • Experience working in a digital analytics role focussing on retail insight, preferably within the e-commerce space
  • Highly numerate and strong attention to detail
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for sharing ideas and driving them forward
  • Able to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Good project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance)
  • Strong SQL skills, preferably experience within advanced analytics
