Job Description

  • Help shape the future: We are developing the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) as an IoT device and are implementing a digital twin for it. You will be involved in shaping this innovative Bosch product, which will help to reduce the CO2 emissions with hydrogen-based power generation, and to transform the future of green energy.
  • Take responsibility: As a Data Engineer you are responsible to conceptualize, develop, test and deploy streaming data pipelines and applications along the complete product lifecycle of solid oxide fuel cell systems. This could be IoT data from engineering, manufacturing, operations, or service.
  • Implement holistically: The data pipelines that you build will form the core of the digital twin, that will enable a comprehensive product lifecycle management, with the aim to continuously improve the product, optimize and grow the business. To achieve this, you will build effective, scalable cloud solutions using a modern tech stack (e.g. Spark, Kafka, Python).
  • Live cooperation: You will be part of a diverse team of software engineers, data engineers as well as data scientists that jointly bring data-driven solutions and machine-learning applications into production.

Qualifications

  • Education: Successfully completed Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering with a strong IT background or comparable qualification
  • Personality and working practice: You are a self-motivated team player, driven to deliver high quality and innovative solutions with impactful results. You can communicate effectively, have automation first mind set and are passionate for modern data infrastructure.
  • Experience & Knowledge: Several years of professional experience with big data streaming infrastructure (Kafka, Spark) in the cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure). Proven track record of delivering solutions to production. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows. Advanced programming knowledge in either Python or Scala. Developing infrastructure as code (Terraform) is a plus.
  • Languages: fluent in English (written, spoken), good knowledge of German is a plus
