Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Data Scientist to join our Innovation team. It would be a hybrid role based in the Experian Data Office in Nottingham.

The Experian Data Office is dedicated to assuring world class standards are applied to the control, management and processing of our most valuable assets, data.

You will be expected to work closely with external suppliers and internal teams, set-up and own data ingestion processes and build and interpret market insight all as part of this role.

The innovation team are continually looking for new ways to extract more value from both our existing data assets and new data assets as yet untapped.

You’ll show creativity and demonstrate a passion for problem solving as we look to develop new innovative solutions for our clients.

You’ll have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a larger team, will be responsible for setting your own project deadlines, and keeping stakeholders updated on progress.

 

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has a genuine interest in understanding and interpreting data, problem solving and innovating. You’ll have good knowledge of statistical and IT packages, analytical methodologies and experience of working with data in an analytical or data management role.
You’ll succeed in this role by demonstrating excellent communication and project management skills and a strong sense of ownership, with an ability to work to your own initiative and challenge peers/stakeholders. It’s important that you can work as part of a team and bring your ideas to the table!


Essential Skills:
•    Data science / analytics background with existing statistical data languages (SQL, SAS, Python, Scala)
•    An innovative and inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analysis problems
•    Effective interpersonal and communication skills used to influence internal and client stakeholders
•    Independent but also a collaborative team player
•    Effective investigation skills with ability to identify and correct data problems
•    Passionate with a willingness to learn and analytically hungry
