Data Architect, Portugal
General DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on Data Architect to be part of our data team that is working for clients in Europe. 
In this position, you will define, design, help to implement and support the data migration strategy from legacy systems to new solutions, working closely with teams in the EU, Brazil and other countries across the world. 
This is a digital transformation challenge for a client in Europe that is continually growing. In the beginning we will have all kinds of problems with legacy, such as lack of documentation, support for critical incidents (which do not happen often) and lack of data governance. Our goal is to organize and solve the problems encountered one by one, and we have complete freedom, as technical advisers, for this. 
You need advanced and/or fluent proficiency in English to communicate with these different teams and clients during the workday, HENCE PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV IN ENGLISH.
We are looking for someone who has:
Hard SkillsSolid experience with Data Warehousing and Dimensional Data ModelingProficiency in SQL, Stored ProceduresSolid experience:  With ETL/ELT processes Designing, building and testing data pipelines (mainly Azure Data Factory) ETL tools (e.g. Talend, Microsoft Integration Services, etc)Experience with: Azure Cloud Version control tools such as Git, Azure Devops
Soft SkillsExperience working in international and multicultural teamsComfort learning new frameworksWillingness to work with different technologies and learn every dayAbility to share your knowledge with more junior team membersAbility to understand technical concepts and turn them into business termsCommunication and mediation skills
Knowledge of:Azure DP-203 and/or Azure DP-300 (or equivalent knowledge)Microsoft Data Platform (SQL Server, Analysis Services, Integration Services and Analysis Reports)Worked with agile methods (e.g. SCRUM)
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supporting the data service and analytics teams to leverage enterprise data solutions and drive business valueDesign, and development of end-to-end data pipelines and workflows with high-qualityAnalyzing data to drive efficiency and optimization, design processes and tools to monitor production systems and data accuracyCloud Data infrastructure design and setupIdentify, create, prepare data required for modern BI solutions using new cloud technologiesIdentify, analyze and extract legacy data streams to migrate to the cloud using new and more modern technologies, facilitating testability, maintenance and accuracyIdentify and analyze internal processes in the data area, bringing governance and accelerating value deliveries to the business areasInteracting with clients, providing cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needsDevelop PoC code  used by data tools on Cloud (Microsoft Azure) to perform expected data aggregation and processing operationsSupport, troubleshoot and fix bugs on existing data pipelines  (mainly Azure Data Factory)Participate in the Data Validation processDesign, construct, install, test and maintain data management systemsEnsure that all systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practicesIntegrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structuresRecommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality
We expect candidates to have knowledge in some, but not necessarily all fields below:Non-functional requirements (performance, security, privacy, GDPR and etc)Data mass for testing, integration test and E2E testingDifferent SQL and No SQL databasesVisualization technologies (PowerBI)Using python or other scripting languages to automate tasksExperience with Infrastructure as a CodeDesign and plan data-marts that will be consumed by data analyst and data visualization tools
