In your role as a Senior ML Engineer (m/f/d), you will get the chance to work in a cross-functional team that consists of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Platform Engineers, and have close collaboration with other departments (like Data department) to define the future of ML in Flink. You will have a direct impact on the business by developing Flink’s Product Recommenders. The recommendations generated by these systems will feature prominently throughout Flink’s app and marketing campaigns. Your work will therefore have a direct impact on the grocery shopping experience at Flink.

Job Description

• You will create systems that automate processes needed for the lifecycle management of ML models, including model training, testing (both for code and data), monitoring, and deployment
• You will create and scale internal services that deliver real-time predictions needed for Flink’s recommendations engines that have a direct impact on consumer-facing app
• You will take a leadership role in helping the team and the rest of the organisation on development and maintenance of Flink’s Data Products
• You will closely collaborate with other parts of the organisation like Data and Platform teams as well as internal customers of our Data products to implement the best solutions 

Qualifications

• You have at least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying ML products (ideally recommendation systems)
• You have previous experience with architectural input into the design and build of Data/ML products
• You are a proficient Python programmer and are familiar with the libraries most commonly used for ML
• You are able to effectively provision and configure infrastructure needed for ML/Data products, as well as deploying/scaling and monitoring them in a public cloud environment (ideally you have experience doing these within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem)
• You are extremely comfortable navigating and translating the needs of Data Scientists into concrete and practical solutions in collaboration with Data and DevOps Engineers
• Open-minded personality, comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment
