Job Description

• Develop and contribute ideas for data-driven generation of significant business value
• Select data from various sources needed for machine learning models
• Implement complex machine learning and deep learning models
• Take responsibility of end-to-end implementation of cross-divisional data science use cases (brainstorming and idea generation, implementation, testing, rollout, maintenance)
• Develop insights into a huge and increasing amount of structured and unstructured data
• Convert data science ideas and models into productive tools
• Define key metrics to measure success of data science use cases and create respective business intelligence reports
• Work on an AWS infrastructure and contribute to decisions on which technology to use
• Drive continuous improvements and optimization of data science models and pipelines
• Be part of a motivated agile team with highly ambitious and intelligent people in our growing data analytics department
• Work closely together with data engineers
• Build interactive dashboards and reporting solutions
• Be a contact person for business intelligence questions, delivering actionable insights and recommendations

Qualifications

• University degree in a data science related field, e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics, or natural sciences and relevant working experience
• Data-driven and good with numbers whilst being able to explain complex concepts
• Very good programming skills in Python, knowledge of Java and Kotlin is a plus
• Very good knowledge of modern supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, e.g., tree-based models, neural networks, transfer learning, reinforcement learning, recommender systems ...
• Experience in natural language processing, e.g., text classification, chatbots, word embeddings ...
• Confident in programming with modern data science libraries such as tensorflow, scikit-learn, pytorch, SpaCy ...
• Knowledge of explainable AI methods
• Familiarity with A/B testing setups
• Experience in agile project work
• Interest in financial services and markets is a plus
• Eager to extend your knowledge on modern data science algorithms and technologies continuously
• Experience in agile project work
