We're looking for a Data Engineer for the Data Engineering Team, whose mission is to build and maintain our ETL/ELT pipelines as well as support our data governance AKA make our data platform automated, resilient and scalable.
Hubs is growing fast and so we face new challenges to better manage our data pipelines. Although our data maturity has considerably evolved over the past years we need help elevating our infrastructure and governance to handle larger volumes of data. Our skills are diverse and versatile. Our typical data engineering tasks involve maintaining our ETL/ELT pipelines as well as support to our data governance. Furthermore, as our key stakeholders, having foundations of analytics and machine learning result very advantageous.
Our tech stack: Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS (RDS, S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue) and DBT

What you’ll do:

• Identify bottlenecks, optimize queries and architecture
• Maintain and elevate  analytics pipelines using dbt
• Migrate existing machine learning pipelines to dbt
• Build new integrations with 3rd party tools or custom code
• Maintenance of our AWS data infrastructure
• Administration on our databases usage, ownership and performance
• Monitor and alert on our jobs and data pipelines
• Support automating tasks and deploying simple ML models for analytics

What it takes:

• You have a very proficient level of SQL, you are comfortable at understanding complex queries and identifying bottlenecks and ways to make pipelines more efficient
• You can leverage SQLto carry out quick analyses. Bonus: you have experience with dbt
• You are very comfortable with Python, you are familiar with version control, IDEs, CLI and essential Python packages
• We use Python for several purposes including data integration, tasks automation and deployment of machine learning models
Very nice to have
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Experience in building ETL/ ELT pipelines handling large volumes of data
• Knowledge of at least one of the global cloud platforms AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
Nice to have
• Developed containerized workloads in Kubernetes
• Exposure to CI/CD processes and workflow orchestration tools
• Knowledge and experience with machine learning models and pipelines
• Business knowledge and analytical skills such as business intelligence, data visualization, statistics

Our recruitment process

• Our recruiter will have a quick chat to talk about the role and to learn more about you, your ambitions and agree on the next steps
• Then we'll schedule a chat with one of our engineers from our engineering team to talk tech
• After that, we'll have the technical assessment. The coding assessment involves a take home assignment and live code review
• Finally, you'll have a short talk with one of our culture ambassadors and our director of engineering
