Team Lead Data Science

We are looking for a Team Lead Data Science to join our fast-growing team; to help us promote our data-for-justice revolution. We developed a platform that uses AI and Machine Learning to discover harmful legal violations, securing compensation for millions of victims.

As the captain of the ship, your main responsibility is to navigate the team's course, chart a path toward success, and make sure everyone is on board. you will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering actionable, end-to-end solutions that drive the company's mission of detecting and resolving legal violationsAdditionally, you'll need to stay up-to-date with the latest industry and academic trends and keep the team abreast of any new advancements that will give them an edge in the field.

What Will You Be Doing?

• This role demands both innovation and execution, as you will be responsible for not only designing new approaches but also bringing them to fruition.
• You will be the driving force behind creating impactful solutions that have the power to make a real difference in the world by collaborating with cross-functional teams and shaping the company's vision.
• Lead a team of data scientists and manage their performance and development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, with a focus on NLP.
• Manage and prioritize data science projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems using data.
• Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in data science and machine learning and NLP, including at least 3 years of experience leading and managing teams.
• A keen understanding of data engineering best practices, and experience working with large and complex data sets.
• A sense of adventure and the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and programming (Python) Experience working with large and complex data sets, and a good understanding of data engineering best practices.
• A solid background in data science and machine learning, with a focus on natural language processing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus points if you have experience with developing applied machine learning products and using cloud-based platforms.
• Build ML/AI solutions together with a strong partnership with our engineering group Strong communicator and able to communicate results to different levels of stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively about how to use data to drive business outcomes.
• Experience with productionizing models and/or implementation of Data Pipelines.
• NLP experience - at least 3 years.
