Job Description

Future cellular communication system, namely 6G, envision supporting sensing alongside communication. This feature enables enlarged vehicles field-of-view, meanwhile granting detection robustness via collaborative environment perception. This intriguing service with lots of use-cases require a well-designed integrated communication and sensing system. In this regard, we offer the following internship position.

  • As part of a highly motivated research group, you will be engaged in performing measurements for both communication-based positioning and radar-based environment sensing.
  • You will analyze the measurements and post-processing for object feature extraction.
  • Furthermore, you will implement and/or optimize state-of-the-art methods for high-resolution perception acquisition.
  • You will also document the findings.
  • Last but not least, you will be ready for possible short business trips (in Germany if any).

Qualifications

  • Education: Master studies in the field of Electrical Engineering / Information Technology or Computer Science, with good performance during Bachelor and Master studies
  • Personality and Working Practice: highly motivated, proactive, and communicative
  • Experience and Knowledge: knowledge in communication systems and/or high-frequency technology is a plus; know-how in machine learning (experience with Generative Adversarial Networks is a plus); experience in Python (knowledge in PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus) and/or MATLAB
  • Languages: good English and/or German

Additional Information

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 4 - 6 months
