Our Enterprise Analytics team within CSS is comprised of people with backgrounds in across advanced analytics and data sciences working in a global set up. We solve many business problems with data playing an important role in defining the future of the CSS business in this space.
As an Analytics Leader on our Customer Support Services team, you will partner with important business executives and the partner teams to bring design to delivery on some of the most exciting challenges Atlassian faces. We're hiring a Senior Manager, reporting to the Enterprise Analytics Leader to grow a motivated team with a passion to solve business problems with advanced analytics. You have a background in managing complex analytics projects within a collaborative ecosystem leading technical teams. You and your team will be the strategic partners with senior business leaders, identify opportunities and problems, test hypotheses, build analytics and data science solutions, and surface insights to lead transformative changes.

What you'll do

• Hire and lead a team of data scientists with great technical skills, business knowledge, and value fit.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify business opportunities and build Key Indicators.
• Collaborate with partner teams to lead transformative programs to make impact.
• Be the expert to build analytics strategy, provide transparency of roadmap, and lead sprint planning.
• Build shared vision, empower a team of missionaries, and deliver high quality outcomes.
• Create actionable analytics insights, build data science solutions, and measure the impact.
• Manage roadmaps, sprint planning, stakeholder engagement, and remove blockers when needed.
• Effective translate and share complex ideas simply, advocate team's work and coach data storytelling.

Your background

• 15+ years experience in analytics and data science field
• 8+ years experience in people leadership
• Success at hiring and growing a global team remotely
• Business outcome focus and critical thinking - when there is complexity, you can help your team identify the right problem to solve
• Success at building a culture of data-informed decision-making, fast learning, and progress
• Lead with data backed insights and stories to non-technical audience
• Preferable a technical background in statistics, measurement, experimentation, modelling, SQL, R/Python, data instrumentation
• Experience applying advanced analytics knowledge to the real world
• Experience using Roadmap planning, sprint planning, and project management skills

It's great, but not required, if you have:

• Experience in B2B, customer support, customer success
• Experience in product analytics, people analytics
• Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)
• Experience in using Jira, Team Central, Confluence to manage and share team's work
