POSITION SUMMARY

In order to achieve this we are seeking a skilled, self-motivated Clinical Data Operations Manager to lead and manage daily projects and business management operations of Natera’s clinical data and abstraction team’s products and services. In this role you will function as the front-line project manager for all external vendors and oversee execution of abstraction or data related milestones, and ensure adherence to program requirements by providing operations leadership and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Director to track all clinical data projects and program key performance indicators.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, IT, and Data teams to operationalize the program’s objectives.
- Work with cross-team/department counterparts to establish timelines for data projects and deliverables and coordinate critical tasks across a high-engagement cross-functional team of engineers, clinicians, and product managers to ensure the successful development and operations of Natera’s clinical data program.
- Ensure the program’s strategy and mission are implemented and managed.
- Create and manage program and project-specific KPIs and provide adequate methods for reporting program and project-specific KPIs to all relevant stakeholders.
- Manage pilots, and ensure on-time, on-budget production of high-quality abstracted and
- structured clinical data.
- Manage project, program, and team documentation and reports.
- Develop, maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, expenses, and contracts with external vendors.
- Support the development of project strategies and plans for executing project level and specific customer level abstraction project requests and needs.
- Support the development of program budgets and staffing by providing forward looking utilization analysis to support staffing, capacity, and project resource needs forecasting.
- Utilize JIRA, Smartsheets, or other applications to manage team work, capacity planning, project plans and timelines, and productivity tracking.
- Build and maintain ongoing strong working relationships with stakeholders, focus on building effective communication channels.
- Participates in program/team process improvement/development initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in health sciences, bioinformatics, or related field, at minimum. (could be supplemented with experience)
- 5+ years of project or operations management of clinical data abstraction, research, or
- clinical data management projects or programs. The candidate has direct experience working with startup projects.
- Experience using JIRA, Smartsheets, excel, and other project management resources.
- Certified PMP and ability to maintain certification required.
- 6+ years of managing small to large scale projects.
- Familiar with clinical terminology.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work independently, with little to no direction, and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in and aptitude for leading remote teams.
- In-depth attention to detail and a fast learner.
- Experience working with startup companies and well-established organizations.
- Ability to interact with various levels of staff and external customers.
- Possess a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience working with multiple monitors.
- Strong familiarity with data abstraction tools, EDCs, and registries and working with
- system change requests, and providing design input.
- Medical terminology experience.
- Experience creating or supporting the creation of policies and procedures, budgets,
- roadmaps, timelines, and managing cross-functional teams.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Austin, TX$107,900—$161,900 USD
