About the team:

Insights from data power most decisions at Robinhood. This Data Scientist-Analytics role at Robinhood will work with partners in marketing, product, engineering, finance, design, and compliance to understand and analyze data from all parts of our business to drive our Lifecycle Marketing strategy.

The preferred location for this position is in or around Robinhood's offices in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY with in-office work capabilities, as may be required by management.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Developing and sharing insights around our customers at all stages of their lifecycle
  • Analyzing and testing engagement and retention strategies, improving our communications efficiency, and growing our measurement capabilities
  • Working with partners to identify the metrics their product should track and developing and sharing analysis, guidance, reports, and dashboards to optimally track and move these metrics
  • Powering quick decisions by answering business questions by querying our vast datasets
  • Actively suggesting changes to help our customers and business based on a deep understanding of how people engage in our app.
  • Adapting quantitative techniques to solve problems surfaced by multiple perspectives
  • Mentoring as needed to democratize the use of data within the company

About you:

  • Experience working in digital marketing analytics
  • Bachelors in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc) with strong statistical chops or a bachelors in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or natural sciences (or equivalent experience) with a strong curiosity about human behavior
  • Excellent programming skills, including expert level skills with either Python (numpy, scipy, pandas) or R programming languages
  • Expert level SQL skills
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis
  • Experience communicating data driven insights
  • The ability to use data to advise, persuade, and lead

You’ll partner closely with engineers, data scientists and business teams to power analytics, experimentation, and machine learning use cases. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.

US Zone 1: $187000 - $220000
US Zone 2: $165000 - $194000
US Zone 3: $146000 - $172000

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
