The NLP Engineer Role

You will be joining a team in charge of data engineering and NLP analysis, which means you will have an opportunity to work with large amounts of data and NLP technologies on new challenges.

You will be in charge of proposing solutions, implementing new algorithms and running them on all our data to provide them to our clients.

Key Activities

• Participate in several innovative projects: synthesize existing research, implement algorithms, evaluate them and present results;

• Use effective text representation to transform natural language into useful features

• Develop NLP systems according to requirements

• Find and implement the right algorithms and tools for NLP tasks

• Write tech reports and participate in publications.

Desired Background and Skills

Education

• Preferably Master degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field

Experience

• 2-5 years experience in NLP, with a first experience in sentiment analysis, for instance with deep learning would be appreciated, experience with Big Data is a plus;

Skills

• Understanding of text representation techniques, algorithms and statistics
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Knowledge in developing machine learning algorithms or machine learning infrastructure preferably in Python 
• Strong problem-solving skills abilities
• English and French proficiency
