In your role as a Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will get the chance to work in a cross-functional team and directly impact the business by developing Flink’s Product Recommenders. The recommendations generated by these systems will feature prominently throughout Flink’s app and marketing campaigns. Your work will therefore have a direct impact on the grocery shopping experience at Flink.
Job Description
- Develop models that generate product recommendations from our rich datasets of customer/product interactions and extensive product catalog
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify the best ways to integrate recommender systems in our quick grocery app and marketing campaigns
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to build services that reliably serve relevant product recommendations in real time
- Analyse experiments and AB tests to evaluate the effectiveness of the recommender systems
Qualifications
- You hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, computer science, mathematics, or related field
- You have practical experience in using different data science methodologies to solve complex business problems and you have experience doing this with Python
- You are fluent in reading and writing SQL (experience in Google BigQuery dialect is a plus)
- You have business fluent (spoken & written) communication skills in English (our main company language)
- Experience developing recommender systems is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes, Airflow and cloud infrastructure (e.g. GCP) is a plus
