Job Description

The VP Data Lake Product Manager will be responsible for developing and governing our data and information strategy in order to drive business decisions and growth. They will develop data procedures and policies, and work closely with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets while ensuring that the company meets industry best practices. Other duties will include leading inter-disciplinary teams, improving and streamlining data systems within the company, and driving innovation, as well as, building vendor relationships.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data management, leadership, and information technology systems and tools. A strong background in IT, business, and mathematics is advantageous. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, including both enhancements as well as new development. The candidate must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a commitment to quality and professionalism.

Qualifications

§  Thorough understanding of the business and data strategy.

§  Designing and implementing data strategies and systems.

§  Lead, motivate, and manage technical teams.

§  Implementing data privacy policies and complying with data protection regulations.

§  Build and lead technical vendor and partner relationships

§  Champion the Agile development methodology across our organization.

§  Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and collaborate with Engineering team to mitigate and address these issues.

§  Partner with stakeholders in setting the vision for data needs and translating it into and end-to-end execution

§  Gather requirements from various Stakeholders and translate them into actionable work for Engineers

§  Communicate complex technical issues around the data and data processing in simple language to different Stakeholders

§  Develop, define and maintain roadmap for product lines.

§  Communicate product updates and roadmap to stakeholders, executives, and users at a regular cadence.

Minimum Qualifications:

§  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Sciences or related field is preferred

§  10+ years of related work experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

§  5+ years of experience with media planning and buying, reporting

§  Good understanding of public cloud systems and their service offerings.

§  Knowledge of relevant applications, big data solutions, and tools.

§  Strong negotiation, leadership and communication skills

§  Project and product management skills

§  Analytically minded

§  Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in support of technical product development

§  Practical experience in scrum-based Agile development methodology

§  Experience in partnering with support teams to deliver enterprise level product support

§  Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent

Compensation Range: $159,500-$250,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
