About the role

We're looking for a Pricing Data Scientist to apply their expertise in pricing analysis, data science and machine learning and help improve our proprietary pricing algorithm. In this role, you'll help facilitate thousands of vehicle sales a week between sellers and dealers and ensure that both parties achieve a mutually beneficial transaction.

Our pricing algorithm is also leading the way in providing transparency to the used car marketplace by fuelling our other products (For example: our Car Value Tracker ensures vehicle owners can track the value of their like an asset for free!).

Using machine learning methods, you’ll work on hypothesising, researching and implementing improvements to our pricing algorithm ensuring that any solution is statistically better than our current solution through A/B tests.

You’ll also work on designing and refining our model monitoring infrastructure in the GCP and Vertex AI ecosystem, which is an essential part of discovering potential improvements in our model and pricing explainability to sellers.

Requirements

• You have a self-starter mindset and a proactive and determined approach to problem solving
• You have solid grounding in SQL and preferably Python
• You have experience in conducting A/B experiments
• You have experience working with GCP Vertex AI or AWS Sagemaker
• You proven experience with Pricing based Machine Learning models
• Strong proficiency with data science in Python (sklearn, statsmodels, pandas, numpy)
• You have an interest in emerging technologies and actively seek to apply them
• You’re a natural collaborator and team player
