Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with business acumen and technical capabilities, to join the Data Analytics team of our Central Operations Department. The successful candidate will work in a team of self-driven analysts towards creating and monitoring a full stack of sophisticated systems and processes across the full gamut of Viva’s services and products., within a fast-paced, intrapreneurial environment.

This role combines the competence of mining and correlating information to deduce insights, the enthusiasm to apply advanced technical skills to solve problems, and the ability to effectively communicate findings orally and visually.

More specifically, as a Data Analyst, you will:

• Design and implement solutions required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Azure technologies
• Design, develop and maintain new and existing data and ETL pipelines, based on the understanding of underlying business processes and flows
• Perform tasks in an efficient & timely manner
• Design and implement optimal data pipeline architecture and systems
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery
• Create and use data mining and visualization reporting techniques to interpret information, discover patterns, and eventually provide problem-solving insights
• Understand business challenges and relate them with specific analytics activities
• Create and use automated monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively mitigate operational risks
• Stay up to date with new technology trends

Requirements

To be considered you should have:

• BA or higher degree in Data Analysis or related technical field
• Proven working experience with relational database systems and mastery of SQL
• Competence with data modeling and visualization tools such as Datadog, PowerBI, Azure Analytics, etc.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Be self-driven and a quick learner to adopt to new technologies and methodologies
• Be highly numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Be resilient and adaptable to an extremely fast-paced environment with frequent pivots and adjustments
• Previous experience in web service architectures, JSON and RESTful API’s, Webhooks, etc. will be considered a plus
