Job Description

As a Data Engineer you get to play a key role in the analysis, architecture, design, development, implementation, integration and support of maintainable, scalable and robust cloud solutions always with cost containment strategies in mind.

Your responsibilities

• Supporting the process of ingestion, transformation of Clinical Data to regulatory accepted standards, using Spark, SQL, .Net and Python
• Work with the development team to support business processes, such as data transformation from clinical data to accepted standards
• Recommend ways to keep up with emerging technologies
• Develop and support the creation of a new cloud based framework to manage the lifecycle of clinical data

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience
• A master's or bachelor's degree in IT or in Sciences with a strong interest in IT 
• Development experience in .Net and/or Python 
• Experience with (continuous) development tools like Jira or Azure Devops & Pipelines and you are familiar with branching models as well as code revision systems such as Git to support the documentation of bugs, enhancements or features from request to code
• Experience with SQL-like data manipulation (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Experience with Apache Spark technology, or spark implementations like Azure Synapse, Notebooks, Databricks, ...
• You have a problem-solving mind and you’re eager to learn
• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English
• You are a team player

Not a must, but a plus:

• Experience with web-services development (Rest API’s, API management etc. )
• Experience with Cloud Native Development & Event - Driven Architecture (Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, Function Apps etc.)
• Experience with NoSQL (e.g., Cosmos DB) databases
• Knowledge of Stored Procedures (PL/SQL, TSQL,...)
• Experience with Data Visualization products (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire etc)
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML, OpenAI services, … )
