We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team!

The Business Analyst would be responsible for conducting detailed analysis and product design, producing outline specifications of business requirements and preparing feasibility proposals for internal and / or external design. Responsible for support and delivery of the project through Development, QA, UAT and Production.

Job Description

This role is responsible for carrying out descriptive and predictive analysis to develop analytical solutions which benefits to our clients and their customers. The role holder is able to carry out analysis independently.

DATA ANALYSIS & MODEL DEVELOPMENT

§  Support the development of descriptive and predictive analytical solutions using best practice analytical techniques and following established quality procedures to help guarantee the robustness of the solution.

§  Under significant guidance extract, formulate and manipulate data to create the structured samples necessary to address business requirements.

§  Support the development of analytical models and solutions.

§  Working with other Data Modellers, interpret analysis results.

§  Ensure quality and accuracy of own work.

§  Under guidance, follow the relevant procedures and processes throughout the analytics solutions delivery process.

§  Supports low complexity projects and provides support in the shaping and refining such projects

§  Maintain accurate time sheet management, logging time to projects effectively

§  Promptly upload information and document to the relevant knowlesge sharing site

§  Observe the review and assessment of client/customer requirements in order to learn how to produce a project specification

§  Organise and complete own workload aligned to the project

§  Properly track projects in the Changepoint tracking system & submit the hours weekly.

MANAGING CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS 

§  Communicate with client and/or other departments/divisions within Experian to help ensure accurate and timely implementation of project work, and to enable them to manage client/customer expectations.

§  Demonstrate understanding of the client/customer’s requirements.

§  Build and maintain positive day to day client/customer relationships at peer level.

§  Attend, support and contribute to client/customer meetings, including presenting results, conclusions and recommendations in both written and verbal form.

§  Recognise & raise client/customer problems or issues with the Project Manager.

§  Recognise opportunities for chargeable work within project and communicates these opportunities to the Project Manager.

INFORMATION GATHERING -  

§  Ensure full understanding of the client’s/customer’s requirements

§  Ensure that all written and veral communication is clear and preofessional

§  Take part in workshops.

§  Interpret documentation.

PROBLEM SOLVING (10%) - Identify potential problems in the end to end process.

§  Proactively identifies efficiencies that benefit team in future delivery, whilst sharing knowledge with the wider team

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the use and application of analytical methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Experian bureau data and value added products and how these are used by clients
  • Understanding of the modelling development process.
  • Strong PC skills, especially in Word PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good knowledge of relevant statistical (e.g. SAS/SPSS or R) and IT packages
  • Good knowledge of computer programming and programming languages
  • Knowledge of machine learning
  • Effective project planning and time management skills
  • An innovative and inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analysis problems.
  • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high mathematical content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research (O.R.), Economics, Physical Sciences.
