What We're Looking For

You are an experienced Amazon AWS Technical Architect responsible for delivering Data On Cloud projects for Amazon AWS-based deals. You would be responsible for developing and delivering AWS cloud solutions to meet today’s high demand in areas such as AIML, advanced analytics, open source, enterprise collaboration, microservices, serverless, etc. You, as an Amazon AWS Technical Architect, will be responsible for delivering Cloud-based Big Data and Analytical Solutions to our clients.

Position Overview

As the AWS Technical Architect, your responsibilities include evangelizing data on cloud solutions with customers, leading Business, and IT stakeholders through designing robust, secure, and optimized AWS architectures, and ability to be hands-on in delivering the target solution. This role will work with customers and leading internal data engineers in delivering big data solutions on the cloud. Using Amazon AWS public cloud technologies, our Technical Architect professionals implement state-of-the-art, scalable, high-performance Data on Cloud solutions that meet the need of today's corporate and emerging digital applications.

Role Responsibilities

  • Expertise - Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR and Amazon Redshift.
  • Solutions - Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements, and creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
  • Delivery - Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services. Engagements will include the migration of existing applications and the development of new applications using AWS cloud services.
  • Insights - Work with AWS engineering and support teams to convey partner and customer needs and feedback as input to technology roadmaps. Share real-world implementations and recommend new capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value from the use of AWS cloud services.
  • Innovate - Engaging with the customer’s business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in big data, database and data warehouse architecture and delivery
  • Minimum of 5 years of Consulting or client service delivery experience on Amazon AWS (AWS)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 2 of the following areas:
  • Solution/technical architecture in the cloud.
  • Data mesh architecture experience.
  • Experience implementing a data mesh framework
  • Big Data/analytics/information analysis/database management in the cloud
  • IoT/event-driven/microservices in the cloud- Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing data migration and data processing using AWS services: VPC/SG, EC2, S3, AutoScaling, CloudFormation, LakeFormation, DMS, Kinesis, Kafka, Nifi, CDC processing Redshift, Snowflake, RDS, Aurora, Neptune, DynamoDB, Cloudtrail, CloudWatch, Docker, Lambda, Spark,Glue, Sage Maker, AI/ML, API GW

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Professional (Nice to have)
  • Certified AWS Big Data Specialty (Nice to have)
  • Certified AWS AI/ML Specialty (Nice to have)

Preferred Qualifications

  • DevOps on an AWS platform. Multi-cloud experience is a plus.
  • Experience developing and deploying ETL solutions on AWS
  • Strong in Java, C##, Spark, PySpark, Unix shell/Perl scripting
  • Familiarity with the technology stack available in the industry for metadata management: Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Lineage, Data Catalog, etc.
  • Multi-cloud experience a plus - Azure, AWS, Google
