Staff Data Analyst (Rocket Growth)

With Rocket Growth, sellers’ products are delivered to customers via Coupang’s Rocket delivery network. As a Data Analyst for Rocket Growth, you will be owning and driving critical decision making across a range of ambiguous problems using data. You will be structuring the data, defining constraints, parameters, and decision variables, and running simulations to optimize business outcomes and facilitate business decision making. You have a mindset that constantly challenges the status quo, and you possess a high degree of decision-making acumen. You are not afraid to disagree, love working with data, analyzing the data to come up with insights and possess the panache to work with a diverse set of stakeholders to align them to common goals and decisions.

Key Responsibilities:   

• Work with product team, business team, and other stakeholders to formulate the business problems into data analysis and data science projects. 

• Design features and build large-scale machine learning models and systems or perform statistical analyses to improve business outcomes and business decision.  

• Build decision/predictive modeling using ML models and statistical tools factoring in constraints and a wide range of variables and outliers 

• Solve ambiguity and act as consultant in data related problems across teams. 

Qualifications:   

• 3+ years of relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication 

• 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) 

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal & external business partners 

• Tableau or Power BI management experiences 

• Bilingual Speaking in Korean and English

Preferred:   

• Proficiency in statistical software package such as Python 

• Strong knowledge of statistics 

• Experience in forecasting and trend analysis 

• Ability to present the analysis outcomes using insightful and easy to understand spreadsheets and presentations 

• Ability to convey rigorous technical concepts and considerations to non-experts 

• Analytical thinker, quick decision maker, diverse set of experiences enabling a wide perspective to observe problems from various angles and create the best possible solution for customers and internal stakeholders
