Key job responsibilities
As a Worldwide BD Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service worldwide. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS offerings. BD Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for a specific AWS service. As a BD Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical go-to-market plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities. You will also identify gaps in AWS products or feature sets based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.

The WWSO AI/ML team positions AWS as the best place to build and experiment with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Our team helps customers migrate and modernize AI/ML while providing a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for customers to innovate and unlock new potential. As a Business Development Specialist , you will create scaled GTM motions for AWS Data & AI/ML services to expand adoption of these services into new or existing portfolios. This position will help Strategic AWS customers adopt Amazon SageMaker for ML and build innovative solutions with AI Services.

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with technical business development, sales, strategic partnerships, and program/product management
- 5+ years of industry experience with enterprise selling, consulting or industry specific GTM of IT services preferably AI/ML.
- Experience influencing and negotiating with customers, up to the c-suite or VP level
- Experience in describing and selling technical cloud services or software technology products
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years working domain experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related technologies
- College/university degree
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
- In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, software development, and solutions architecture
- Ability to work autonomously with medium oversight or direction from leadership
- Excellent business judgement and the demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
