Data Scientist - Visual Analytics, Fintech

As a Data Scientist will be responsible for the implementation of cutting-edge Applications for advanced Risk Analytics Dashboards and for Data and Model Validation as well. Also, you will work closely with Data Architects and the rest of the team mainly focused on the aforementioned objectives. Working closely with other creative minds, you will be able to demonstrate your expertise on data visualization, data models and automation techniques as well as high level of analytical and creative skills. You will have the opportunity to further develop knowledge and expertise on Data Visualization and Risk Analytics.

What you will do

• Implementing advanced Data Visualization applications for Data Validation, Model Validation and Risk Monitoring purposes
• Delivering Credit-Risk insights through Big Data Risk Analytics and Data Visualization techniques
• Contributing to the automation of the data assurance processes by creating data visualization applications for monitoring purposes
• Implementing advanced Risk Analytics Dashboards
• Transforming data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals
• Implementing reporting solutions using data visualization tools
• Implementing advanced Data and Risk Analytics applications for Real Time Credit Scoring and Automated Credit Limit Assignment.

What you will bring

• BSc and MSc in Computer Science or Mathematical Sciences from an accredited institution
• Hands-on experience at least in two of the following (with descending significance):
  • Data Analytics Application Development
  • Data Visualization
  • Risk Analytics
• Strong analytical skills
• Hands-on experience of Python
• Hands-on experience of Data Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) or libraries in Python or R (e.g. Bokeh, Seaborn, R Shiny)
• Hands-on experience of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure and strict attention to detail
• Communicates effectively in English in written and verbal form
• Self-motivated, self-directed, resourceful and in possession of a high level of personal initiative

Optional requirements (will be considered a plus):

• Hands-on experience of python web frameworks as Flask or Django
• Communication skills
• Creative skills
