Job Description

Team presentation and main goal:

As part of the Finance Direction, you will integrate the Financial Data Integrity department (FDI) which oversees the labelling of financial data for CIB activities of Natixis (balance sheet and off-balance sheet).

This department counts about 100 people with a target to be bilocated (40 in Porto and 60 in Paris).

You will join a team of 6 people in Porto.

As a Senior Financial Quality Management Analyst, of a major French banking institution with international dimension, you will:

  • Support Data Management initiative for internal & regulatory requirement toward improvement of the quality of reports produced by Natixis CIB;
  • Participate in the Data monitoring for CIB activities (Financing, Global market, etc.)

You will be in contact with the other teams of FDI (specifically those which oversee Data Sourcing and Data Quality controls), the internal Finance partners and Finance IT teams.

As a Senior Financial Quality Management Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Implement the Data Quality strategies defined by the Chief Data Officer (CDO);
  • Guarantee compliance with BCBS 239 Data framework (Operational deployment, Policies and Procedures, Projects Labelling, etc.) thru monitoring Governance on essential repots, essentials indicators and Critical Data Elements (CDE);
  • Assist on the identification of BCBS 239 material data;
  • Implement Data Quality Indicators (DQI) and Controls based on BCBS 239 principles and criteria;
  • Identify and create strategic Data roadmaps, organize and facilitate workshops, on BCBS 239 related standards;
  • Drive Data Quality improvement initiatives with Data Owners and Data Quality Manager;
  • Ensure the implementation of Data Quality improvements for Anomalies and Discrepancies and assist on the definition of a sustainable remediation plan across different chains (Financing, Global Markets, Trade and Cash), and follow up the evolution of the remediation plans with the stakeholders;
  • Drive the Data network and assist on the Committees preparation (Steering, OPCO, CSRA and Data Quality Committees);
  • Identify the Critical Data Elements (CDE) beyond Regulatory Reporting requirements applicable to CIB and contribute to Data Lineage for the new CDEs;
  • Identify the Golden Sources of each CDE, assists on definition of the business rules and ensure accurate documentation at Golden Source;
  • Review Data Lineage and assess their accuracy;
  • Create and update centralized documentation related to Data Quality among which: data dictionary, business rules, controls dictionary and group nomenclature;
  • Contribute to the work on the Data Catalogue and Data Glossary (Zeenea) with Data Governance, Critical Data Elements (CDE), Golden Sources, etc.;
  • Contribute to transversal projects and new Functional Models, particularly in data-related transformation initiatives (e.g.GASPARD);
  • Participate to the promotion of a “Know Your Data” culture in the organization, which will contribute to increase maturity in the organization on Data Quality topics.

Additional information:

  • You will be part of a bi-localised team with a local manager and a functional manager Paris based, with regular interactions Paris team.
  • The ability to develop a network within the various teams of the Natixis ecosystem, and an aptitude for collaborative and group work are key factors of success in this position.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the following skills:

Hard Skills:

  • Masters degree in Finance, Management, Audit or Risk;
  • Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality and Project Management;
  • Advanced knowledge of Banking environment and products with previous professional experience in Banking sector;
  • Advanced knowledge of Regulatory ECB Reporting’s (FINREP, COREP, LCR, …), BCBS 239 principles, Bank Accounting, IFRS Accounting Standards;
  • Notions of SQL and DataViz tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight, Google Analytics, etc...);
  • Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office pack;
  • Fluent in English (mandatory);
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.

  • Strong analytical mind-set, problem solving, planning & organisation skills;
  • Curious and willing to investigate into database and move the issues forward;

Additional Information

Early morning. Campo 24 de Agosto. In 4 minutes, you are clocking in at the office. After grabbing a cup of coffee and fresh fruit, pick up your laptop and choose your spot for the day. It's going to be a busy one: French class before lunch and, just after, quick medical appointment at Natixis doctor's office.
 
Lunch break. Outside in the big terrace (look at your crops at the Urban Garden; ready to harvest!) or, if you feel like stretching your legs, walk downtown to grab lunch.
 
Back inside. Quick sprint review (working together anywhere means virtual happy birthday to that colleague in Paris that just turned 35). The afternoon went flying (tasks, reports, calls, some jokes with your teammates). End it on a high note: just one PlayStation game or the final match for that ping-pong tournament.
 
Tomorrow, you complete that certified technical training and the day after, you will work from home, taking advantage to finally do that online course on Udemy. Once you are done with your tasks for the day, you can visit the office for a board games session or show up at the rehearsal of one of Natixis bands. If that is too steady for you, meet your colleagues to surf some waves or join them in a football match.
