Job Description

Within CARAT, as a data engineer, you’ll take part in developments of several modules developed in Spark with Scala, on Hive, Hbase, Indexima and with interactions with Rest API and external databases like SQLServer and Oracle.
You will work in SCRUM within a team whose members are in Porto and Paris.
You’ll participate to the technical design of the modules, their implementation, and the automation of tests. You will also have to interact with the Ops to deploy the modules.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Experience with Big Data and NoSQL Technology (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, SolR, HBase, Kerberos)
• Experienced with functional programming (Scala, SBT)
• English B2+

Nice to have:

• Experience in an Agile environment (SCRUM)
• Knowledge of ZIO, MONIX, CATS libraries is valued (functional programming)
• Knowledge of Kafka and Schema Registry
• Knowledge of Rest API

Early morning. Campo 24 de Agosto. In 4 minutes, you are clocking in at the office. After grabbing a cup of coffee and fresh fruit, pick up your laptop and choose your spot for the day. Tomorrow, you complete that certified technical training and the day after, you will work from home, taking advantage to finally do that online course on Udemy. Once you are done with your tasks for the day, you can visit the office for a board games session or show up at the rehearsal of one of Natixis bands. If that is too steady for you, meet your colleagues to surf some waves or join them in a football match.
