Job Description

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team(s).

In a complex mix of autonomous, connected, electrified, smart and shared mobility we find a dynamic, research-filled world where the most advanced technologies in AI meet to bring artificial intelligence into the vehicles and cities of the future. Our activities are centered around video-based automated driving, with solutions ranging from computer vision and deep learning algorithms for traffic scene understanding (e.g. recognition of vehicles, pedestrians, signs, etc.), to their optimization and deployment on various embedded automotive-grade hardware. On that same track, we, in addition, develop tools (e.g. data management) for aiding our research and development, as well as HD maps for localization and mapping.

In your role you will:

  • Be responsible for defining and aligning the team's roadmap based on the organization’s needs, customer wishes, project management team, market trends and competition with focus on two directions - doing the right things and proper priority handling and stakeholder management.
  • Keep track of the state-of-the-art technology and internal research teams as inflow for technical concepts and component roadmap.
  • Prepare the planning sessions based on the overall programs backlog, timeline and coordinates dependency planning with other teams.
  • Define and maintain team's backlog with input from program management, customers, other teams, architects, internal research teams, own team, line management or other domains.
  • Prioritize the team backlog for in-time deliveries and keep the conceptual and technical integrity of the features.
  • Maximize the value produced by the team and ensures deliveries meet the acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to concept definition, design, validation strategy that is valid on long term.
  • Implement improvements technically, in team setup, assignments, collaboration, staffing to increase the velocity and quality also taking into account the motivation of team members.
  • Understand the dynamics of the working environment and know how to align teams and optimize communication.
  • Support line management in team's growth and competency ramp-up, including your own.

Technology Stack (mainly, but not limited to):

  • Programming languages: C++, Python, Matlab
  • Software frameworks: Tensorflow / Keras / Pytorch, OpenCV, OpenVX
  • Accelerators: NEON, Horovod, Microsoft Azure, Nvidia CUDA
  • Infrastructure: Linux, GIT, Jira, Bitbucket

Qualifications

  • You have a university degree in computer science, automation, electronics and telecommunications, informatics, mathematics or comparable.
  • You have experience as main technical driver of a small software team.
  • You have proven track record of interacting with diverse, distributed and multiple teams.
  • You have know-how of data structures and algorithms, computer vision algorithms and/or machine learning algorithms.
  • You have at least 2 years of hands-on software development experience with C++/Java/.NET/Python or similar.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming and functional programming principles.
  • You have the ability to learn new concepts, software frameworks or programming languages fast, in collaboration with a global network of experts.
  • You have excellent communication skills including digital interaction, showing initiative, perseverance and bringing people together towards a common vision.
  • You are responsible, autonomous, with good problem-solving skills and are able to estimate and prioritize tasks.
  • You have a strong focus on delivering value, result orientation, continuous learning and relentless improvement.

Nice to have (one or more):

  • Passion about self-driving cars, video technologies, algorithms, software, data, with an engineering mindset.
  • Being authentic and bringing your whole self to work, inspiring and sustaining a friendly work atmosphere.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of deep learning-based multi-task perception.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of non-learning-based algorithms (i.e., 3D computer vision, optical flow, tracking etc.)
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of embedded software optimization and parallelization (ex: NEON, DSP) for real-time performance.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of big data management techniques (storage, search, etc.)
