Your Title: Manager, Risk Analyst/Risk Modeler

Your Location: Remote/ Anywhere in the US

You Report To: Director, Strategy & Analytics

Compensation: $134,500 plus bonus!

About the Opportunity:

The role will work closely with the CCO and other C-level execs to play a pivotal role in growing the company. You will see the challenges and opportunities of building a company through technology and data and use internal and external data to influence decision-making. As part of a very small team focused exclusively on Strategy & Analytics, you will see everything that it takes to grow a business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and maintain Originations, Pricing, Loss Forecasting, Servicing, and Collection scorecards.
  • Evaluate various new programs and data sources and their impacts on the company’s profitability and potential growth.
  • Perform ad-hoc and what-if analysis for various business process improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously improve modeling methodology while keeping abreast of regulatory requirements for modeling usage in auto industry.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics/Data Science/Econometrics/Mathematics/ Business Analytics preferred.
  • Prior 6+ years’ experience as a risk modeler, risk analyst, credit risk analyst, and statistical modeling in the financial industry including hands-on experience in building end-to-end customer credit scoring models, of which 2+ years in managing an analytics team is preferred.
  • Experience with a data scripting language (Python, SAS, R) & SQL and analyzing large and complex data sets is required.
  • Knowledge of various statistical techniques and having built statistical models (Logistic/linear Regressions, Boosting/bagging, SVM, Clustering, CHAID/Classification trees etc.) is required.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills, with an ability to create clear and concise communication is required.
