ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a leading FinTech Solutions Provider, is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer

Workplace Location: Athens – Northern Suburbs, Hybrid Working Model

You will be responsible for designing and optimizing the department’s current and future data related solutions and act as a champion for data integrity, consistency and reusability within all areas of analytics, by adopting a product-oriented approach to the creation of analytics deliverables

  • Work closely with data engineers, data analysts and business team on data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects
  • Design, implement, maintain, monitor and optimize current and future data/reporting/analytics platforms/solutions in order to address data related needs
  • Understand and promote data framework best practices and key technologies so as to effectively support existing and future business requirements
  • Integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various structured and unstructured data systems in order to make them available for reporting/analytics solutions
  • Set up and maintain automated processes according to the business requirements i.e., invoicing process
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related subject
  • 5+ years’ experience in data analysis
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of writing queries, stored procedures, views, functions and triggers for Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server Database Tuning and Query Optimization techniques
  • Experience with analysis, design, and development of large high-performance databases
  • Experience with ETL tools (ssis klp) and architectures (noETL, passive/active ETL)
  • Exceptional attention to quality, detail, and be comfortable working as part of an extended team on an agile delivery plan
  • Resourceful, creative, self-motivated and eager to learn
  • English fluency and strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Other desirable attributes include:
  • Work experience in credit or debit portfolio data management, analytics or reporting
  • Experience in working with multidimensional databases (e.g., MS Analysis Services)
  • Familiarity with statistical tools and predictive modelling concepts

Any experience in the following will be highly appreciated:

  • Knowledge of Python and/or other OOP languages
  • Knowledge of R statistical language
  • Knowledge and experience on Data Warehouse design as well as OLAP/OLTP systems
