Job Description

You will be working within a team of highly motivated and talented data engineering specialists, who develop and maintain services for our corporate business communities.  Our primary systems include ingestion, processing and reporting applications using Oracle technologies that are located within Experian data centres and cloud-based platforms.

We are looking for graduates who are keen to engage in development and analytical roles and who understand relational database management systems and have confidence in working with structured query language.

You will be working closely with our core team members and internal business partners using established development methodologies, secure practices, change and incident management procedures.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with integrated development environments
  • Using data related development methodologies
  • Using data warehousing principles and practices
  • Working with query related client tools
  • Working with orchestration tools
  • Working with data integration and transformation tools
  • Working in a BI environment focused on integration and reporting
  • Researching, investigating, and fixing a wide range of technical issues

Qualifications

Essential requirements

  • Degree in information technology, data science or closely related field
  • Knowledge of integrated development environments
  • An understanding of data related development methodologies
  • An understanding of data warehousing principles
  • Good communication skills

Useful requirements

  • An understanding of security principles
  • Agile development techniques
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Java development experience
  • Python development experience
