Big Data Engineer

We’re ooking for a Big Data Engineer to develop and integrate systems that retrieve, process and analyze data from around the digital world, generating customer-facing data.

As a data server developer, you will work at the very core of the company, designing and implementing complex high scale systems to retrieve and analyze data from millions of digital users.

Your role as a server-side developer will give you the opportunity to use the most cutting-edge technologies to solve complex technical problems. 

So, what will you be doing all day?

Your role as part of the R&D team means your daily responsibilities may include:

1. Developing and maintaining the existing product solutions according to product discovery and requirements 
2. Contributing to and improving the existing infrastructure of code and data pipelines
3. Improving the performance of existing services by exploring new technologies and methods for mutual development.
4. You will work in a heterogeneous team, alongside data scientists to implement complex research projects.
5. You will experiment with various technologies in the domain of Machine Learning and BigData processing.
6. Delivering innovative solutions by developing POCs to solve a range of existing and future-oriented problems

This is the perfect job for someone who:

1. Passionate about data.
2. Holds a BSc degree in Computer Science, a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
3. Has at least 2 years of server-side software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
4. Has experience working with at least two of the following: Distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval (scraping), or web application development.
5. Is proficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Python, JavaScript\ Nodejs,  Java, Scala or Go
6. Is comfortable taking on challenges and learning new technologies, including new coding languages.
7. Have excellent communication skills with the ability to provide constant dialog between engineering teams
8. Can easily prioritize tasks and work independently
9. Conveys a strong sense of ownership over the products of the team
10. Is comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Nice to have:

    Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, Airflow, etc
