Today, Box powers over 97,000 businesses, including 70% of the Fortune 500 who trust Box to manage their content in the cloud.    WHY BOX NEEDS YOU  Our Strategic Decisions Platform & Analytics (SDP&A) team is growing, and we are looking for a Data Scientist to join the team.  Your ability to deliver platforms that provide timely, accurate and visualized insights to support our strategic and data driven analysis will be highly visible to both executives and engineers and critical to supporting strategic decision making.     To be successful you will conceive, define, develop, deploy and operate internal platforms (web apps, API’s, frameworks and third party tools) which consolidate disparate data from multiple sources to provide insights that would not otherwise be visible to drive critical strategic decisions.  You'll also work closely with stakeholders such as Executives, Finance and Technical Operations to define and implement the logic required for insightful dashboards to enable FinOps, Cost Optimizations and other use cases.   WHAT YOU'LL DO 
  • As a member of the team, you'll use both technical and interpersonal expertise to lead large scale projects to completion
  • Design, Implement and support end-to-end data pipelines, including ETL, data warehouses and reporting infrastructure requiring full-stack expertise
  • Interface with key stakeholders such as Executives, Technical Operations and Finance to construct requirements
  • You'll collaborate with other engineers on the team to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values
  • Experience with supporting Apptio Cloudability, Apptio Cost Transparency and/or SnapLogic or similar FinOps and ETL tools is a bonus
  • Opportunity to execute and communicate analyses with product and leadership teams to influence strategy
  • 3+ years of experience building and supporting enterprise-grade platforms utilizing Django + jQuery + Bootstrap + Postgres/MySQL
  • Expertise in building out data pipelines, efficient ETL design, implementation, and maintenance utilizing HIVE, Spark or similar toolsets
  • Strong development experience in any scripting language (Python, R)
  • Strong coding skills with a passion for writing clean, well tested and maintainable code
  • Relevant experience with data models and database querying
  • Experience with supporting Apptio Cloudability or Cost Transparency is preferred
  • Experience with Excel for data analysis and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker is preferred
  • Experience with AWS/GCP Services & APIs, Understanding of on-prem infrastructure is preferred
